Parker Browne's Art

     My name is Parker Browne and I am Colorado State University graduate that majored in art education. I have had a passion for art for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was asking for art supplies on every holiday possible. I found my love for teaching a bit later in life. I discovered I wanted to be an art teacher my junior year of high school. I took as many art classes as I could and I became very close with my art teacher. She was such an inspiration to me, seeing how understanding and kind she was made her an amazing teacher. 

     Within art education, I specialized in pottery. I think that making pottery is such a fun skill that is very open ended. You don't see pottery in every art classroom so I would love to teach my students about it and help them develop technical skills. I would also love to pass on life skills to my students. I want my students to feel safe to explore in the art room without fear of judgment. I think everybody could try and be less judge-mental in life because you never know what somebody could be going through.
